Support Services, Information, Advice and Personal Advocacy:
Responding in person/by phone to a range of queries from older people and their carers e.g. Advising where to obtain a service, what is available. Providing confidential support and empowerment to older people. Assisting with WINZ queries etc. Providing personal safety items such as panic alarms, life tubes.
Information Resources:
Providing written materials e.g. brochures and books.
Education:
Holding education seminars for the public e.g. Positive Ageing, Driver Refresher, Health topics.
In-home Support:
Referring on to recommended services e.g. trade and home help services.
