The Kiwiable Leisure Card is a Christchurch City Council initiative. It aims to help reduce the cost for people with disabilities to participate in recreation, sport and leisure. The card is free to people within the Christchurch city council wards and costs $5.00 for those outside the CCC ward.
It offers discounts to members at a large variety of recreation and leisure facilities throughout Canterbury. Once you have joined you will receive a Leisure Card and an information booklet.
Newsletters are sent out to cardholders.
You are eligible if you are :
On an invalids benefit
On a sickness benefit
On long-term ACC (52 weeks or more)
You will need to include the following:
An ID photograph of yourself ( any size – can be scanned, cropped and sent back to owner ).
Confirmation that you are eligible- A letter of reference from ACC or Work and Income NZ or from your doctor or disability organization.
