Covid-19 Vaccinations at home in Canterbury

COVID-19 vaccination home visits are available for people who experience significant barriers to getting vaccinated at existing clinics or events.

First, please check www.vaccinatecanterburywestcoast.nz/ clinics to find information on vaccination locations, including disability events, drive-ins, drop-ins, General Practices, Pharmacies, and Māori and Pasifika-focused services.

The website above also includes information about transportation options. The Metro bus service is free for travel to and from a vaccination appointment.

Some people will have needs that cannot be met at the existing vaccination sites. Some people do not normally leave their home.

While there may be other reasons for home vaccinations, they usually relate to physical health and mobility, mental health, or dementia.

To request consideration for a home visit, phone 0800 CAN VAX (0800 226 829) or email CANVAX@cdhb.health.nz.

A clinician will call you to determine if a home visit is right for you and if it is, to make an agreed plan for your vaccination.
