The Social Outings Service offers regular cafe groups and host visits

The Social Outings service is for people over 65, who live in their own homes and would like to meet new people.

Café Groups

Café Groups suit those interested in meeting and getting to know others who live locally. Groups meet fortnightly at a regular time, and visit different cafes in and around your area. We encourage people to make their own way to the venue, however we do provide transport when needed.  In some areas there is a waiting list but we will do our best to link you in as soon as possible.

Host Visits

Host visits are an excellent way to spend time with others. Volunteer drivers will pick you up from your home in one of our minibuses and take you for a leisurely drive, before arriving for morning or afternoon tea and/or entertainment at either the home of one of our volunteer hosts, or another venue in the community such as a local library or school. The co-ordinator will call a few days prior to the outing to see if you are available.
