The gardens contain over 10,000 exotic and indigenous plants displayed in a landscaped setting of approximately 21 hectares, offering the visitor spectacular displays for all seasons of the year. The grounds are open daily from 7am to 1 hour before sunset. The Information Centre, adjacent to the Armagh Street car park, is open Monday to Friday 9.00am to 4.00pm, weekends from 10.15am to 4pm . Wheelchairs and mobility scooters are available for use from the Information Centre. Both the Armagh Street and Riccarton Avenue car parks are open daily from 7am to 1 hour before sunset.
