Community Energy Action (CEA) is a charitable trust based in Christchurch. Established in 1994, CEA’s mission is to provide equitable energy efficient solutions to achieve good health, good environmental outcomes ad the relief of fuel poverty in our community. A warm, comfortable energy efficient house is important for your health and well being. If you have struggled with high electricity bills or a cold, damp home, CEA’s Energy Advice Service can help. It is independent, not-for-profit service providing free, impartial advice tailored to suit you. Advice topics include – Insulating your home, Financial assistance for home owners and landlords, heating and ventilation options, saving money on your power bills and find the best energy plan, what to do about dampness and condensation, buying electricity from the cheapest electricity retailer.

The toll free area includes the Canterbury region north of the Rakia River up to Kaikoura.
