HomeShare: Support older people living in their home community. HomeShare invites small groups of people (2-4) into a host’s private home for a day a week. It offers a home cooked meal, companionship and activities. This is featuring in the East of the city for those most effected by the earthquakes.
GRANDPARENTS AS PARENTS – A 2-hour monthly support and information group for grandparents who have the care and responsibility for their grandchildren. Groups are run in various locations in Christchurch. Phone for further information.

Elder Care Canterbury – Elder Care Canterbury is a collective of people representing organisations, service providers and consumers who have an interest in improving health services for older people of Canterbury. It has open membership and is coordinated by an employed Coordinator.
