The RSA is now operating out of their new home on the RSA’s original site at 74 Armagh St in the central city. Thay are up and running and the administration office is located on Level One of the building. They were fully operational in time for a formal opening of the building on 27 March by the Governor General and for the Centenary of the Gallipoli Landings on ANZAC Day 2015. They will also celebrate their own Centenary in December 2015.
The all new Trenches Restaurant and Bar on the ground floor of the new Christchurch Memorial RSA building at 74 Armagh Street Christchurch is open to the public.
The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner menus and also has cafe style counter food and a full barista coffee service. The menus are all well designed and wholesome foods covering a wide variety of tastes.
The Trenches Bar will also open at 8:00am each day and will trade at the following hours:
Monday to Wednesday: 8:00am to midnight
Thursday to Saturday: 8:00am to 1:00am the next day
Sunday: 8:00am to 11:00pm
Sample the wide range of excellent tap beers, bottled beers, wines and a vast selection of spirits at reasonable prices.
There are member discounts available for RSA members through the use of your membership card in both the Restaurant and bar and the restaurant and bar staff can take applications for membership of Christchurch Memorial RSA at the bar. Annual subscriptions are only $40.00 to gain the full benefits of being an RSA member. New members are very welcome and they also welcome members from other RSAs and Clubs to join or visit for a meal or a social drink.
They also have function/event facilities available. There is a 140 seat function room with bar, 20 seat boardroom and a 70 seat seminar/training room available for hire. Welfare officers are available for all returned and services personnel and widows. Some assistance may be available with specialist, spectacles and dentures for members. For a destitute person some help may be available for expenses.
