The Stroke Foundation is the national organisation in New Zealand dedicated to reducing the incidence of stroke, improving treatment outcomes, and supporting those affected by stroke.
Stroke Foundation Community Stroke Advisors provide information and support to stroke survivors, their family, whānau and carers. Their role ensures people achieve the best possible outcome after stroke. A Return to Work Advisor also supports working age stroke survivors to return to employment. These services are free.
The Stroke Foundation is an agent for the Total Mobility Scheme, discount taxi fare card.
