Community Alcohol And Drug Service
A service run by the Specialist Mental Health Division of Canterbury Health. Offers treatment for people struggling with alcohol and drug addiction as well as having a mental health diagnosis.
Alcoholics Anonymous
www.aa.org.nz 24 Hour Answer Service at numbers above. Christchurch Service Centre open 10am-2pm Monday – Friday. There are more than 60 meetings a week, daytime and evenings, held around the city. For further information regarding the meetings, look on their website.
Battered Womens Trust ( Womens Refuge )
Practical help and support is available for any woman who is the victim of domestic violence. The Trust is affiliated to the National Collective of Independent Women’s Refuge and networks closely with other Christchurch Refuges: West Christchurch Refuge, Rose House, Otautahi Women’s Refuge; and also work closely with Shakti.
