The Canterbury DHB was created January 1st 2001 as part of the government’s health reforms and is responsible for government funded health and disability services in the Canterbury area and runs the public hospitals in the region. It is working with other health providers to promote ‘wellness’ in our community. Their Board meetings are open for anyone (except public exclusion sessions) to attend.
