New Zealand Red Cross has an Outreach programme designed to provide information and support for people who have been affected by the earthquakes? If you know someone who would like a visit or to speak to someone from the Outreach team then please call 0800 OUTREACH (0800 468 873) or email: outreach@redcross.org.nz Red Cross Volunteers are trained to provide hands on help at real emergency incidents, and are always looking for people to join their team. Red Cross Transport

Vehicle capacity: Three vans: one 12 seat, one 8 seat with space for two wheelchairs, and one 10 seat.
Available for: People with limited mobility referred from partnering organisations and New Zealand Red Cross.
Reason/rational: Transport for people with limited options for medical appointments, leisure and pleasure activities and opportunities for social connection.
Restrictions to access: By referral.
Service cost: No.
Does the service use volunteer drivers who are police checked?: Yes.
Area covered by service: Christchurch.
Wait list: Requires at least 4 days advanced notice.
