ComCare Trust works with and for people living in Canterbury who experience serious mental illness. A referral is needed from their case manager.
Services provided by the Trust include a wide range of housing supports (from assistance in finding and moving into a flat to sheltered housing) and specialised individual support in undertaking leisure and recreation activities. The Trust’s Flatmate Finders service helps people who experience mental illness to find a flatmate. The Jobconnect service provides individual support for people who are ready and motivated to pursue opportunities for part-time or full-time employment, training or education. The Community Support Work service assists with the development of life skills and independence.
