The Merivale Corner is Merivale’s Community Centre. It is a place where people from the local community can meet and share coffee and friendship . There are also activities for those who wish to join. This has relocated from St Marys, to the Elmwood Bowling Club. Please ring the number above for additional information.

9.30am and 10.30am – Mainly Music. For pre-schoolers. Open during school terms. Very popular and may be a waiting list. Held at the Foundation for the Blind in Bristol Street.

TUESDAYS (Every Week)
1.30pm – 2.30pm Beginners Tai Chi for arthritis
8.00 – 9.00am Striders then at 10.00 – 10.45am the Strolling Group goes off somewhere for an interesting walk, at your pace.
10.30am to 12.30pm.- Coffee and conversation.
10.00am to 12noon (1st and 3rd Wed)- Embroidery and Handcrafts. Bring that unfinished embroidery, project or craft.
10.00am – 11.00am Tai Chi for arthritis
10.30am to 1.00pm (each week) – Coffee and conversation. If you are new to Merivale please come and join us for a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy the company of others who come together for food, fellowship, conversation, jigsaws. Come for a short time or stay longer.
12.00 – 1.00pm Zumba
1.30pm to 3.00pm (Term time) – English Conversation for those who are learning English as a second language.

Other Activities:
Social Group – Regular Cafe meets, luncheons, outings, theatre and other entertaining activities.
Book sharing – Meets monthly for inspiring book sharing sessions – held on 3rd Wednesday.
Community morning teas – monthly – interesting guests and shared company.
Community day trips – 2 0r 3 organised each year.
Community St John First Aid – course annually.
